When and Where
City travel to South Wales on Wednesday 10 February for a 17:30 (UK) kick-off in the FA Cup Fifth Round.
In the UK, the game will be broadcast live on BT Sport 1, and fans living abroad can find out how they can tune in, wherever they are in the world, via the global TV listings at the foot of this page.
If you’re unable to watch the game then rest assured that you can keep up to date with all the action as it unfolds via our Matchday Centre here on mancity.com, or on Twitter: @ManCity.
A full-match replay will be available to watch on CITY+ within 24 hours of the final whistle.
We’re not really here
Shaun Goater and Kevin Horlock will be teaming up once again on We’re Not Really Here ahead of our trip to the Liberty Stadium.
They will offer their insight before the game gets underway, and will then pick over the bones at both half-time and for a further 30 minutes when the referee blows the final whistle.
We’re Not Really Here offers a more City-centric take on events and will get underway at 16:30 (UK), an hour before kick-off.
It is available to watch on all digital platforms and, during the game, you can also enjoy live commentary on both mancity.com and our official app.
Team News
Manchester City
Sergio Aguero continues his recovery from a positive coronavirus test, but the game comes slightly too soon for him to make his return to the fold for the first time in nine matches.
However, in his pre-match press conference, Pep Guardiola revealed that our record goalscorer is feeling better ‘day by day’, and was able to take some part in Monday’s training session.
Swansea City
Swans manager Steve Cooper is hopeful that midfielder Korey Smith will be fit in time for the last-16 encounter after an injury lay-off.
New signing Paul Arriola could also be in contention, but goalkeeper Ben Hamer is cup-tied and will be unavailable.
Form Guide
City are in fine fettle heading in to Wednesday’s FA Cup clash, boasting an unbeaten run of 21 matches, and a winning streak of 14 in all competitions.
And if there were any more reason to be cheerful, Sunday’s emphatic 4-1 victory at Anfield, our first in 18 years, moved us five points clear of Manchester United at the top of the Premier League.
Nonetheless, our opponents are not there to simply make up the numbers, and harbour serious aspirations of a return to the top flight following a three-year absence.
The Swans sit third in the Championship, a single point off top spot, are unbeaten since mid-December and triumphed over league leaders Norwich City 2-0 in their last outing.
Match Officials
Referee: Peter Bankes. Assistant referees: Adam Nunn & Neil Davies. Fourth official: Andre Marriner.
Last Meeting
Pep Guardiola’s men would go on to complete an unprecedented domestic quadruple at the end of the 2018-2019 season, but they were pushed to their limits by Swansea in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
We were two down inside half an hour at the Liberty Stadium, but rallied in the second half to snatch a place in the last four at the death.
Bernardo Silva pulled a goal back with just over 20 to play with an impressive trivela finish, and City were level ten minutes later when a combination of the post and Swansea stopper Kristoffer Nordfeldt saved Sergio Aguero’s blushes from the spot.
But the Argentine did not need a second invitation with stoppage time approaching to complete the comeback, tucking Bernardo’s near-post cross home with a diving header.
