Taylor Harwood-Bellis will spend the 2021/22 season on loan at Anderlecht.

The 19-year-old centre-half, who has made eight appearances for the first team, will continue his development under former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany, who is Head Coach of the Belgian outfit.

Harwood-Bellis made his City debut in a 3-0 Carabao Cup win over Preston North End in September 2019 and was part of the Under-18 side which won the 2020 FA Youth Cup last November.

His impressive progress was rewarded with a four-year contract in December 2020, shortly before he moved to Blackburn Rovers on loan for the latter half of the 2020/21 season.

The defender enhanced his senior experience with 19 appearances, helping Tony Mowbray’s side to a 15th place finish in the Championship.

He follows in the footsteps of fellow Academy graduate Lukas Nmecha, who scored 21 goals in 41 games whilst on loan at Anderlecht last season.

Everyone at Manchester City wishes Taylor the best of luck for the upcoming campaign.
