Part of Pep Guardiola’s Champions League squad for the Group G closer, the 18-year-old will be hoping to make his men’s debut in Serbia.
Born in Bristol in 2005, the composed central defender signed for City in October 2021 from Southampton’s academy.
He is comfortable playing off either foot with his assured style of play meaning he can also be deployed in defensive midfield.
His debut campaign in blue in 2021/22 ended with an Under-18 Premier League title after 16 appearances.
In 2022/23 he was named the Under-18s Player of the Year as Ben Wilkinson’s side were crowned Premier League National champions yet again.
Alleyne featured in all-but three of the under-18s league games including the final when City fought from a goal down to beat West Ham 2-1 after extra-time at the Etihad Stadium.
The cultured centre-back also made three appearances in the Premier League 2 and three more in the UEFA Youth League as well as being a key figure in the FA Youth Cup run to the semi-finals where we narrowly beaten by a 120th-minute winner at Arsenal.
Alleyne is yet to miss a single minute of City’s 2023/24 Premier League 2 campaign from centre-back while he had played in all five UEFA Youth League fixtures before making the step up to the senior squad this week. In four of those games he had captained Brian Barry-Murphy’s team too.
Now the youngster will be hoping to make his first steps into football at the very highest level on Wednesday evening.
