Having entertained the Lionesses in their 2019 Women’s World Cup warm-up clash with Canada, the Academy Stadium – home of City’s women’s team and youth sides – will house a hat-trick of group stage games.
Wembley Stadium – with its capacity of 90,000 – will also host the showpiece Final on 31 July, meaning the venue is hosting back-to-back men’s and women’s UEFA EURO Finals in 2021 and 2022.
As tournament hosts, the Lionesses qualify automatically. The Netherlands are the reigning Champions, having won the tournament on home soil in 2017
The UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 is poised to be the biggest women’s EURO to date, with over 700,000 tickets available to fans and extensive coverage of every game of the tournament available on free-to-air television, radio and online.
Fans will be able to see some of the world’s best players in action on home soil as 31 matches are played across 26 days of competition.
