Taylor said:“[We played them] last season in the Conti Cup at the same stage. They’re a team who are knocking on the door of the Championship and unfortunately fell out in that season from the top flight.
“We’re expecting a tough encounter at their stadium. The bigger the stadia for us and the more opportunity for bigger support is great.
“We’re expecting it to be a good occasion, one we’re looking forward to and we want to progress in the competition we won last season.”

Competition format
Having progressed from the group stages, City now enter the first knockout stage of the Conti Cup, meaning the victors will be decided on Wednesday evening.
If the two teams can’t be separated in normal time, then an additional 30 minutes will be played.
Should the scores still remain level, then a penalty shootout will take place at Ashton Gate.

We also boast a 100% record in the Continental Cup, and are yet to concede in the competition this season having finished top of Group B.

Deyna Castellanos‘ first WSL goal of the season handed the hosts the lead as the half-hour approached, with the Venezuelan poking the ball home after her clever run in behind was fed by Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw.
But Kirsty Hanson grabbed the equaliser soon after from close-range, with neither side able to find a decisive second in front of over 3,000 fans at the Academy Stadium.
Previous meeting
A Bunny Shaw brace and further strike from Vicky Losada helped City progress to the Conti Cup semi-finals with a 3-1 win at the Academy Stadium in January 2022.
