The midfield maestro, who netted a dramatic, last-gasp winner in Sunday’s 2-1 victory over Arsenal, has starred for Club and country this year and is currently in terrific form.
In her last three games, the 25-year-old has registered four assists (including three in the triumph at Everton), as well as her match-winning goal over the Gunners, earning praise from her manager and peers.
In 2020, she helped City to Women’s FA Cup success and has impressed with a string of influential displays in the centre of the park.
Following the early conclusion of the 2019/20 campaign, she scooped the Club’s Nissan Goal of the Season award with her sensational strike in the first professional Manchester Derby.
To claim Scotland’s Player of the Season gong, she beat out stiff competition, including former City star Claire Emslie, plus Erin Cuthbert and Emma Mitchell.
Weir took to Twitter to express her delight and share her gratitude to those who voted, declaring herself ‘honoured’ to win the award.
