Joining City just before her 18th birthday, she’s since gone on to win four major honours, as well as several personal accolades while at the Club.
Beginning her career at hometown club Norwich before making the move to Bristol City aged just 16, she’s forged a reputation as a player who shines in the final third, with a desire to take on opponents and create chances for her team-mates.
Not only was she named England Young Player of the Year in both 2016 and 2017, but further recognition would come in the form of four PFA Women’s Young Player of the Year awards in five seasons between 2018 and 2022, demonstrating the incredible heights she has consistently hit despite her age.
The rise to stardom has been rapid. She’s widely regarded as one England’s biggest attacking talents and was a key figure in their Euro 2022 triumph last summer.
She’s been a consistent performer across the entire season for City, and this is her third season in a row where she has hit double figures.
The most memorable of those strikes came against Everton on the final day of the Barclays Women’s Super League season, when the winger unleashed an unstoppable curling effort off the crossbar from distance.
It was a fitting way to end the campaign for Hemp, who was named player of the match with one goal and two assists for Bunny Shaw.
Only Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw found the net more than Hemp this season, while her assist total of 11 was bettered only by Chloe Kelly (14).
Blessed with remarkable pace, both at top speed and in short bursts, Hemp also possesses outstanding dribbling skills and an impressive work rate.
