OPPOSING MANAGER: stephen healy

Stephen Healy took over as first team head coach in January 2026 after a short spell at MK Dons.

Previously he spent time as a first team coach during the 2024/25 season at Barclays Women’s Super League side West Ham United.

Healy previously spent 10 years in Leicester City’s boys and international academy and has also worked for the likes of New York Red Bulls.

PREVIOUS MEETING

This will be City’s first meeting with Sheffield United since the two sides met at the Joie Stadium back in January 2023.

We ran out 7-0 winners on that occasion thanks to a Bunny Shaw hat-trick, Julie Blakstad brace and further strikes from Deyna Castellanos and Chloe Kelly.

Before then, our only other professional meetings with the Blades had come in the League Cup, first with a 6-0 group stage triumph where Janine Beckie scored four, and then a 4-0 quarter-final victory in January 2020.

LAST TIME OUT

City got back to winning ways after a slender defeat to Arsenal with a dominant 6-0 victory over Leicester.

Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw headed home the opener midway through the first half, with a Vivianne Miedema brace and Yui Hasegawa strike putting us out of sight before the break.

Kerolin made it five soon after the restart from range before substitute Aoba Fujino got in on the act after the hour mark.

It was a performance of attacking superlatives from the WSL leaders, who’ve won all eight of our matches on home soil this season
