The 30-year-old has been in ‘White hot’ form this season, bagging eight goals in her 17 appearances.
With City victorious in all bar one of our last ten fixtures in all competitions, White asserts the league leaders are in excellent spirits and hopes her side can produce another impressive display to secure an historic 12th consecutive league home win in front of another roaring crowd.
“We’re all really excited,” she said. “To face Chelsea is a big one for us. It’s exciting for us and for the fans.
“It’s a massive game and hopefully, it will put us in a good position.
“We’re putting as much hard work and preparation as we can into training. We won’t do anything too differently. We’ll just concentrate on ourselves as much as them.
“For us, it’s about doing the right things in training and recovery, analysing what we can to put us in a good place for the game.
“Home advantage is really important for us. We love playing at home at the Academy Stadium in front of our fans.
“Hopefully, we’ll put in a really big performance and continue our good run.”
Sunday’s encounter marks the second visit of title rivals to the Academy Stadium this month.
City produced a superb team display to defeat reigning Champions Arsenal three weeks ago and White has urged her teammates to replicate the fight, spirit and solidarity her side portrayed in the triumph over the Gunners.
“That was a massive game and effort from us to put ourselves in a good position,” she reflected.
“We were frustrated to lose to them in the Continental Cup semi-final so we wanted to come back and beat them.
“We showed a lot of grit and resilience in that game, coming off the back of the tough game on the Wednesday before playing them on the Sunday at home.
“We showed some good spells in a game that was heightened with a lot of emotion with Nick Cushing leaving – another aspect.
“We showed what we’re all about and what a great team we are; how we can play.
“It’s given us a lot of confidence, going forward.”
