One of the game’s most exciting young players, the talented goalkeeper has become a key figure for City in recent seasons, aiding the Club’s challenge for silverware.
Figuring prominently throughout the 2019/20 campaign, the Sheffield-born shot-stopper secured the inaugural FA Women’s Super League Golden Glove award before helping Gareth Taylor‘s side to defend the FA Cup in November 2020.
In recognition, the 21-year-old - now also an established England international - also earned a prestigious nomination for The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper, shortlisted in a star-studded line-up alongside Ann-Katrin Berger, Sarah Bouhaddi, Christiane Endler, Hedvig Lindahl and Alyssa Naeher.
Having put pen to paper on a new contract, committing her future to the Club until the summer of 2024, Roebuck believes she could not be in a better place to continue her rapid development.
“I’m delighted to have signed a new deal,” she declared. “It’s really exciting to know that my future lies at City for the next three years – my time here so far has flown by and I can’t wait for what is to come.
“Signing a three-year deal too is something that’s a massive boost – the Club have shown their faith in me, which is amazing.
“City is the place I want to be – it’s where I see myself developing as a player, so I’m very happy to have it all sorted.”
Joining City in 2015 as a teenager, Roebuck signed her first professional contract with the Club in January 2018, having made her professional debut as a substitute against Birmingham City two years prior.
Playing her part as the team lifted both the Continental Cup and Women’s FA Cup in 2018/19, the youngster made her mark the following season as she conceded just nine league goals in 16 games, keeping ten clean sheets.
In November, she fulfilled her childhood dream of achieving FA Cup success at Wembley, helping her side to a 3-1 extra-time win over Everton to retain the trophy.

Internationally, she has represented England on five occasions at senior level making her senior debut against Austria in late 2018 and gained valuable experience as a training player in the Lionesses’ 2019 Women’s World Cup squad.
