City welcome United to the Etihad Stadium this weekend for what is sure to be a captivating encounter.
Over 40,000 tickets have been snapped up ahead of the encounter, as we prepare to lock horns with a Barclays Women’s Super League title rival.
Before then, however, City must first get the better of Liverpool at Prenton Park as we aim to secure passage to the knockout stages of the Conti Cup.
The match is available to watch live on CITY+ and Recast, and the boss says continuing our defence of the trophy remains our primary focus ahead of the game.

“Only maybe on some individuals who probably aren’t capable of playing three games in a week,” the boss explained when asked about rotating the squad.
“That’s not necessarily anything more than carrying knocks. We get good information on all of our players.
“For me it’s the next game. I’ve seen Liverpool got a good win against West Ham.
“We had a decent result [against Brighton], so we look forward to the game on Wednesday.”
The hosts currently sit top of Group B, one place and three points ahead of Gareth Taylor’s side having played an additional match.
Victory at Prenton Park would be enough to see us leapfrog the Reds at the summit though, and all but guarantee progression to the knockout stages with a match to spare.
The boss is expecting a tough assignment on Wednesday, but revealed some of the lessons his team have learned from previous encounters with Liverpool this season.
He said: “They’ve come out in every game and played with an identity of how they want to play with and without the ball.
“Sometimes you don’t always get it right in preparation… [but] with Liverpool we know they’re aggressive in their pressing.
“If we can be effective in our build-up, in the game here, we won 2-1 but could’ve been out of sight.
“That’s the risk when you play that type of game and go player for player. It can make it really difficult if you’re effective at the top end of the pitch.”
