The City defender has been ruled out with an Achilles issue since January’s 1-1 draw with Aston Villa.
Her time on the side-lines was a rare setback in an impressive individual season for Morgan, who made her senior England debut and captained the Club for the first time before the festive period.
And the boss shared a positive update on her condition when asked to assess her chances of featuring against Spurs.
Taylor also provided the latest on fellow defenders Demi Stokes and Kerstin Casparij, while ruling out Australian duo Alanna Kennedy and Hayley Raso this weekend.

“Pushing on from the FA Cup at Bristol [last weekend], we’ve got Esme [Morgan] back into the frame,” the boss explained.
“Demi [Stokes] is a little further down the line. We’ve had a little bit of illness but only with players missing the odd day.
“At this moment in time, Kerstin Casparij is back in contention. I think that’s it, pretty much.
“It’s probably only Alanna [Kennedy] and Hayley [Raso] who are just not quite there at the moment, Hayley with a fracture in her hand while Alanna is getting closer. Apart from that, everyone is in good shape.”

City welcome Spurs to the Academy Stadium aiming to extend our unbeaten run in the Barclays Women’s Super League to 12 matches.
The visitors, meanwhile, are searching for a first league win since October when they travel north.
However, the boss was quick to highlight Rehanne Skinners side’s threats, insisting recent defeats paint an unfair picture of the quality across their team.
He said: “I think they’ll be safe [from relegation]. There’s been some changes, they’ve been supported with being able to bring Beth England in which is obviously a good signing.
“If you look at their results, they’re not one million miles off.
“They were edged out in the FA Cup and were very close to getting something out of the Manchester United game.
“It’d be foolish for us, which we never would, to underestimate them, we have high awareness of where their strengths are and potential areas to exploit.
“I certainly think they’ll be okay.”
