Manchester City can confirm that goalkeeper Karen Bardsley has joined NWSL side OL Reign on loan until the end of June.

The 36-year-old has been with the Club since November 2013, making just over 100 appearances in all competitions to date and helping City secure seven major trophies in as many years.

The experienced England international however has now made the temporary switch to OL Reign, with the American outfit set to restart their campaign with the NWSL Challenge Cup on April 9th ahead of the league season kicking off on May 15th.

Speaking about Bardsley’s loan, Head Coach Gareth Taylor said: “We’re very supportive of Karen’s decision to take up this opportunity over in the States for the next few months.

“We understand her desire after the past year or so to get more game time under her belt and this move is an ideal one for her.”

Everybody at the Club wishes her all the best during her loan spell.
