Keira Walsh hailed her side’s team spirit as the key to City’s Women’s FA Cup semi-final success over West Ham.

Two goals in the first half from Ellen White and Chloe Kelly put us in the driving seat before Lisa Evans got one back for The Hammers just before the break.

A Lauren Hemp brace in the second 45 all but confirmed their place in the FA Cup Final to give us a 4-1 score line at the Chigwell Construction Stadium.

The result takes City to their fourth FA Cup final in six seasons and every final we’ve been to, we’ve managed to take the title.

It was a fine performance by Gareth Taylor’s side and Walsh shared her delight with the result: “It was unbelievable team performance!” she expressed.

“I think we put the ball down and played some good football and I’m just really happy to get the win.

“We’re over the moon to be back at Wembley, but we know we’re going to be facing tough opposition in the final.”

And our opponents are still yet to be decided, as Arsenal and Chelsea battle out for the remaining spot, on Sunday 17 April at 12:15 (UK).

Walsh says that the squad will be watching out for the result: “I think everyone will be getting their legs up and resting but we’ll definitely be keeping one eye on it.”

Wembley has been the home for the Women’s FA Cup final since 2015 and Walsh feels the importance that the iconic venue has on players and supporters.

“I never really saw the stars of today playing at Wembley, so I think for us it’s unbelievable,” the England international smiled.

“To see the young girls at the games and obviously all the City fans it’s an unbelievable feeling and a special moment for everyone.

“We’re all really looking forward to it, now we’ve got the win”
