With three goals in three games - and not just any goals: a hat-trick of sensational wonderstrikes - Coombs has hit the headlines, shining in sky blue in her second season with the Club.

“It’s been really nice for the girls to see how well Coombsy’s doing,” the 23-year-old City fan declared.
“She’s a player everybody loves - she’s such a nice person to be around and she always has a smile on her face, whether she’s playing or not.
“That really helps with team spirit. Whether you’re playing or not, you want your teammates to play well.
“She’s looking confident and she’s scored three great goals. Long may it continue.
“It’s been nice to see so many different faces on the pitch. Jess Park has been getting more minutes as well and hopefully, that will continue.
“She’s going to be a massive player for us and for England in the future.
“Squad rotation will be so important this year.
“It’s probably something we’ve not had as much in the past but going into a season and wanting to challenge for every trophy, it’s natural you’re going to need a lot of different players.”
Summer recruit and World Cup winner Sam Mewis - Player of the Match in her first Manchester Derby at the weekend - echoed those sentiments, agreeing Coombs’ form showcases the exceptional squad depth available.
