The Lionesses broke the record for the most goals scored by one team in a single Euros match to secure their place in the quarter-finals of the tournament, with City winger Hemp netting the second on the night.
The 21-year-old played a key role as Sarina Wiegman’s side produced arguably the best performance of the summer so far, and was understandably in a buoyant mood after the match.
Despite having already won more than 20 caps for England, Hemp is currently playing in a senior major tournament for the first time, and spoke about how much she is enjoying the experience.

She said: “I felt pretty good in the game. Obviously there’s a lot of players who can produce in moments like this and I think that showed with the scoreline.
“I think Beth [Mead has] done amazing as well with the hat-trick and it’s important to have so many people who can deliver when it counts.
“I’m loving the tournament and I’m pleased to get so many opportunities and be surrounded by so many amazing players who make it look so easy and it’s great to have that versatility in the squad.
“There’s always going to be some nerves when you go into a tournament like this but I’m loving every second, taking everything in and I’m loving camp so far.
“The girls have been amazing and [have] made me feel so at home.”
Naturally, Hemp added the triumph provided a major boost for the squad, who complete their group stage campaign against Northern Ireland on Friday night.
“It feels great, especially for our confidence as well,” she added.
“We showed that with every single ball that we got, we wanted to go forward and create chances and everyone showed confidence on the pitch which is great to see, and that’s what we want to continue to have.
“We’re now focusing on the next game but there’s a lot of positives we can take from this game and there’s still so many more things we can improve on and that’s the beauty of it.
“We still know there’s a long way to go and hopefully we’ll put those things right but we’re buzzing with the result.”
