The City and England striker says she has been thrilled by the progress made by Morgan during a memorable past 12 months.
In what was a defining, breakout season for the young defender, Morgan made her maiden Wembley appearance, a Champions League debut, won a first senior England call-up and registered her first City goal in a 4-0 win over Birmingham.
However, Hemp admits she wasn’t surprised to see her fellow 20-year-old going from strength to strength at the Club.
“I’ve seen first-hand how hard Esme has been working over the last few years,” Hemp asserted.

“We’ve lived together and it’s great to see her kicking on and really doing well this season.
“I’m her biggest fan so I love seeing her do well.
“She scored her first goal – that was a special moment for her and it made me really happy as well. I wouldn’t want it for anyone else more so than Esme.
“It was really special, and I just hope she’ll continue to do the things that she is doing because she’s a special player and a special person as well.
“She brings a lot to the team away from the pitch as well.”
Hemp meanwhile will be part of the Great Britain’s women’s squad taking part at the Olympic Games which begin in Tokyo later this month.

The Japan showpiece will offer another hugely inspirational showcase for the women’s game which continues to go from strength to strength.
Earlier this year, the FA, Sky Sports and BBC announced a landmark TV rights deal that will see access to more live televised FA Women’s Super League games from the start of next season than ever before.
And Hemp believes that enhanced exposure will only benefit the further growth and development of the women’s game.
“I’d love to see it keep growing,” she asserted.
“Obviously, we’ve seen how far the women’s game has come now and it’s getting coverage next season on Sky and the BBC.
“It’s important to have that and I’m looking forward to seeing the people that the WSL attract in the future.
“Last season, the Americans came in, and Alex (Greenwood) and Lucy (Bronze) game in from Lyon as well so it’s exciting to see how far the women’s game can grow.
“I’m looking forward to being a part of that considering I’m so young and hopefully, we’ve got many more years to come.”
