The England winger has today signed a new three-year contract with the Club, keeping her at the Joie Stadium until the summer of 2027.
The pacey 23-year-old is a star of Sarina Wiegman’s England team and has amassed experience way beyond her years, winning Euro 2022 and reaching the final of last year’s World Cup.
And having already lifted the FA Cup and Continental Cup during her five full seasons in Manchester, she is now looking to complete the set domestically with WSL success.
City currently have 49 points with three matches remaining while defending champions Chelsea are on 46 points but have a game in hand.
Rather than letting the tension get to them, Hemp believes her team-mates are thriving.
“We’re so desperate to win that naturally nerves come with that but I feel like we’ve all got experience of winning in some shape or form,” she said.
“We all know what it takes and for me as a player the games you want to be involved in are the ones you want to win and are the hardest.
“At the end of the day pressure should be a privilege so for all of us we’re just really excited at the thought of winning the league. Obviously, we want to make it special and make the dream become a reality.”
Capable of playing on either wing and destroying teams with her speed, Hemp is one of the key tools in Gareth Taylor’s armoury.
Her performances on the international stage have also earned her global recognition.
Despite all of that, Hemp still insists she can still get better and add many more medals to her collection, and that City is the perfect place to do that.
“I want to be successful and take my game to the next level and I really feel like that’s capable of happening here,” she said.
“I want to win trophies, I’ve got a sniff of it and I feel like once you win one you want to go on and win as many as you can.
“I want to do it here, and it’d mean so much to win trophies here.
“We’ve got such a special squad that I know will keep growing. I feel our philosophy is good and we’re capable of beating anyone that we want to beat on our day.
“For me it’s about having the right people around you and, for me, confidence is massive.
“I feel like among this squad, they’ve given me the freedom to express how I want to play. It’s given me that confidence and when I’m confident, I play my best football.”
