Andrée Jeglertz preview
The City boss will addressed the media on Wednesday afternoon. Whilst there was no huge update on any players returning to the matchday squad, he was asked for his thoughts on new signing Carlotta Wamser and how she is faring thus far.
“It’s not easy to come into a squad like this knowing what we want but what she showed from the first training days but also the game, what kind of player she is and what she is bringing to us,” the manager said.
“The energy, partnership with Laura [Blindkilde Brown], the defending skills, she’s going to be a player that is contributing a lot to this team.
“I’m very happy with her first game.”
Previous meeting
It was a close-fought encounter last time we welcomed Liverpool to the Joie Stadium, but a big three points for City en route to the WSL title.
With the score poised at 0-0 and heading into second-half added time, it was Rebecca Knaak who popped up to hand us the win and take a huge step towards top-flight glory.
By the time we next took to the pitch in the WSL two weeks later, we were already champions thanks to Arsenal’s draw with Brighton.
Matchday Events
There are plenty of exciting activities and competitions to get involved in outside of the usual action on the pitch.
These include tributes to Lauren Hemp, who recently became only the fourth player in our professional history to reach 200 City appearances!

Last time out
City put on an impressive performance at Villa Park in our last encounter, coming away with a 4-1 win.
Goals from Jade Rose and Mary Fowler handed us a deserved two-goal lead, before Amalie Vangsgaard pulled one back on the stroke of half-time.
Undeterred, the visitors continued to press forward and would eventually seal the three points with late strikes from Bunny Shaw and an own goal.
TV listings
The game is currently available to view in the UK on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports+, Sky GO Extra, Sky Go UK and NOW TV.
Should it be broadcast anywhere else around the world, this will be reflected on livesoccertv.com.
