It follows the versatile midfielder and goalkeeper’s excellent contributions to our superb Barclays Women’s Super League campaign in 2023/24 where we matched our best-ever points tally in the competition.
Park returned to the Joie Stadium ahead of last term following a productive loan spell at Everton and continued her fine development by stamping her authority on the WSL in sky blue.
By the season’s end, she totalled six goals and six assists mainly from midfield after Gareth Taylor deployed her from the engine room after Jill Roord’s injury which ruled the Netherlands international out for the second half of the term.
Arguably her standout display came in March’s Manchester derby where she scored twice and registered an assist at the Etihad Stadium in City’s 3-1 success over Marc Skinner’s side.
And Keating was instrumental in a backline which recorded the best WSL defensive record by the end of campaign’s end.
The 20-year-old started every league game of last season and kept 10 clean sheets, meaning she became the first City stopper to win the WSL’s coveted Golden Glove prize since Ellie Roebuck in 2019/20.
Park and Keating are joined on the shortlist by Chelsea’s Lauren James and Agnes Beever-Jones and Manchester United’s Maya Le Tissier and Grace Clinton – with the latter spending 2023/24 on loan at Spurs.
The 2024 awards ceremony will be held at the Manchester Opera House on Tuesday 20 August where the winners will be announced.
Everyone at City would like to send their congratulations to Jess and Khiara on being shortlisted for the award.
