Rose Lavelle says she is already revelling in the presence of her new Manchester City team-mates and ‘incredible’ surroundings of the CFA as Gareth Taylor’s squad gear up for Sunday’s first FA WSL home game of the season against Brighton.

The American World Cup winner, who signed for City last month, was finally able to link up with her colleagues this week after undergoing quarantine precautions.

Following her arrival in Manchester, the midfielder was straight down to work on the training field at the CFA and could be in contention to figure against the Seagulls on Sunday.

It has been a busy week for City with Lucy Bronze and Alex Greenwood both joining the Club, to follow in the footsteps of fellow summer signings Lavelle, Sam Mewis and Chloe Kelly.

And Lavelle revealed she had already been bowled over both by the experience of joining her new team-mates – and experiencing the world class facilities of the CFA.

“The first few days have been awesome,” Lavelle asserted.

“It’s nice being out of quarantine and to be with people.

“Getting in with the team and training has been super fun and the girls have been really welcoming and I’m really looking forward to continuing to do so.

“The facilities are incredible. Everything you could need is at your fingertips and in one place.

“It’s amazing. It has been everything I expected and then some.

“You know this is a world class facility but when you come here and experience it yourself it’s a whole different level.”
