Now, ahead of the trip to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, Losada is sure City are ready to kick on.
“We needed that,” she said of last week’s win.
“We knew it was our first game at home and an opportunity to get our first points. It was an important moment for us and we’re happy because of this.”
The Spaniard is in her second campaign in Manchester after joining from Barcelona and has seen first hand the challenge that Spurs can provide.
Rehanne Skinner’s side were 2-1 winners at the Academy Stadium last September before we got our revenge with a 1-0 win in London in March.
“It’s a really tough game” Losada insisted.

“Tottenham have improved so much in the last few years and they are very competitive. After Sunday we go there with plenty of confidence and I’m looking to seeing how it goes.”
The midfielder spent two seasons with Arsenal in 2015 and 2016 and agrees that experience can give this fixture – against Arsenal’s north London rivals - added significance for her.
She said: “I spent one year at Arsenal when I was very young and now I’m living another experience here at Manchester City but it’s always a big game when you play against big teams.”
Our No.17 was joined at City by two compatriots this summer, with Leila Ouahabi and Laia Aleixandri arriving from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid respectively.
Now 31, Losada is a senior player in City’s squad and has taken both Ouahabi and Aleixandri under her wings.
She stated: “I think I’ve been a massive help for them because it’s a new language. Leila her English is improving, Laia her English is better but she’s a bit shy.
“They have brought a lot of positivity and quality to the team and an understanding of the game. They’re still in a process of adapting but they’re doing really well.”
