Lauren Hemp, Chloe Kelly and Sam Mewis have all been named in the six-strong shortlist of the Players’ Player of the Year category.
Meanwhile, alongside goalkeeper Ellie Roebuck, Hemp has also been nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year, having won the trophy twice already.
All four City stars have enjoyed stellar seasons with impressive contributions for Gareth Taylor‘s side at both ends of the pitch throughout our FA Cup-winning campaign.
Kelly, who earned the Club’s SCM Player of the Season gong, and World Cup winner Mewis (who has now returned to North Carolina Courage) produced outstanding debut campaigns with Kelly bagging 16 goals in 34 appearances and Mewis netting 16 in 32.
Current PFA Young Player of the Year Hemp missed the start of the season through injury but picked up where she had left off, completing the term with ten goals in 23 games.
Starring on either wing, both Kelly and Hemp crafted 28 assists between them.
At the other end, Roebuck preserved an impressive 11 clean sheets - beaten out only by Chelsea’s Ann-Katrin Berger for the league’s Golden Glove award, having missed our final day win at West Ham through injury.
The Sheffield-born shot-stopper produced key saves throughout the campaign and showcased her impressive passing ability and composure in playing out from the back.
In the Players’ Player of the Year category, Hemp, Kelly and Mewis line up alongside Chelsea trio Ann-Katrin Berger, Fran Kirby and Sam Kerr.
For Hemp and Roebuck, fellow Young Player of the Year nominees include: Ebony Salmon (formerly of Bristol City; now with Racing Louisville), Manchester United duo Ella Toone and Lauren James and Chlesea’s Niamh Charles.
