Antoine Semenyo Antoine Semenyo

Bio

Skilful winger

Semenyo joined from Bournemouth in January 2026 after a meteoric rise which saw him become one of the Premier League’s most feared attacking players.

Born in London of Ghanaian descent, he began his career at Bristol City and honed his talent with loan spells at Bath City, Newport County and Sunderland.

At Newport in the 2019/20 season, he was a major part of their run to the FA Cup fifth round, beating Leicester City and Middlesbrough before finally being defeated by City 4-1 on our way to the trophy.

The following season, Semenyo returned to Ashton Gate, playing 50 times for The Robins in all competitions on his way to being named the club’s Young Player of the Year.

Bournemouth took him to the Premier League midway through the 2022/23 season and he went from strength to strength to become one of the most exciting wingers in the country.

Operating chiefly down the left side of an attacking midfield trio, his pace, skills and goal-scoring qualities saw him become one of the division’s biggest threats.

In the 2024/25, he starred for the Cherries with 11 goals in the Premier League and 13 in all competitions and took it another level in the first half of the new campaign with eight goals when City brought him to the Etihad Stadium.

As well as impressing on the club stage, Semenyo plays for the Ghana national team and was in their squad for the 2022 World Cup, appearing in games against Portugal and Uruguay in the tournament.
