A natural leader
25-year-old England international Guéhi put pen to paper on a five-and-a-half-year contract in January 2026.
A hugely gifted defender, Guéhi has established himself as one of the most talented and accomplished young centre-backs operating in the Premier League.
He arrived at the Etihad armed with extensive top-flight experience after spending the past four-and-a-half seasons at Selhurst Park, including a significant period as club captain.
Perhaps his crowning moment at Crystal Palace was the 2024/25 FA Cup success, which was their first ever major honour in 120 years of existence.
All told, he has clocked up 188 appearances for Palace across all competitions, scoring 11 goals as well as supplying eight assists during his time in south London.
He has also become an integral part of the Three Lions’ squad, helping England to the final of Euro 2024.
Now the defender will hope to bring his calm leadership and steely defensive nous to City’s hunt for trophies.
