Bio
Tijjani Reijnders was Manchester City’s fourth signing of summer 2025, arriving on a five-deal which keeps him at the Club until 2030.
The 26-year-old midfielder joined from AC Milan, where he made 104 appearances and scored 19 goals in two seasons.
During his time at AZ Alkmaar and AC Milan, he played in every role that can be asked of a central midfielder and was named Serie A’s Best Midfielder in 2024/25.
That accolade came after netting 15 goals in 54 games, more than doubling his previous best tally in a single campaign.
Whether it’s picking out a pass, bursting into space or shooting from range, Reijnders has demonstrated an exceptional all-round game in one of Europe’s toughest leagues.
Before moving to Milan, he made his professional debut at PEC Zwolle in his homeland before becoming a regular name at AZ Alkmaar.
Since making his mark at AZ in 2020/21, Reijnders has gained experience at both club and international level.
After making his senior Netherlands debut in 2023, he played all six games at Euro 2024 as his nation reached the semi-finals.
Having never previously played at a major tournament, it was a statement of intent from Reijnders that he belongs on the biggest stage.
Now, the 26-year-old will be looking to go that one step further and lift the biggest trophies in the club game with City.
