CityTV’s Kelly O’Donnell embarked on a change of sport while covering the US Tour as she tried out for the Houston Texans Cheerleaders.
Kelly sampled first hand just what it takes to become a member of one of the NFL’s most iconic spectacles - the official cheerleaders who back their teams through thick and thin and who with their flamboyant costumes and dance routines have become as much of a world wide symbol of the sport as the players themselves.
Even the small handicap of Kelly admitting she can’t dance wasn’t going to put her off as she strutted her stuff with the all-American Houston Texans Cheerleading squad.
As well as getting the lowdown on just what it takes to make the grade from the squad coach, Kelly also got a first-hand insight from several of the cheerleaders themselves.
And she discovered that though the girls make it look easy, its anything but!
