Fernandinho talks about how his experience playing with Shakhtar Donetsk prepared him for Tuesday’s tough test.
The Brazilian mentioned just how important Tuesday’s victory was for City in their quest to progress in the competition.
“It was an important step for us ... I think we did a huge step for our qualification to the next stage.
“We are in the process to try and go forward and this is good because if we want to be at the top of the group we have to win as many games as possible.”
He even spoke of a little friendly competition going on between the lads that could very well be an important factor in our recent results.
“All of our attacking players have a competition between them to see who scores more goals and that’s good for us because we try to play at the same level every game.”
