The Blues prepare to take on Chelsea in our double-header on Sunday, kicking off the proceedings with our FA Women’s Super League clash at 1pm.
With the match just three hours before the Premier League kick-off over at the Etihad, it gives City fans a great opportunity to come and see Nick Cushing’s side in action.
When asked about crowds at the stadium, Parris said: “It’s massive and gives you a real boost. They are the twelfth-man.
“We are so grateful for the support and hopefully we will get some new supporters on Sunday.”
Manager, Nick Cushing, is of the same opinion, and believes that once fans come to see the FA WSL game they will return for another fixture.
“Every game is different,” the boss said. “Our fan base is continuing to grow all the time, and the double header is a great opportunity to grow the fan base.
“We’ve had some really good games here (at the Academy Stadium) and we’ve had great crowds.
“It definitely helps and gives us a bigger opportunity to push on and win. We know how great our fans are.
“If fans have never been to watch us, it’s a great opportunity, and we believe they’ll come back because we play the ‘City’ way.”
