To celebrate International Women’s Day, we have conducted a series of revealing interviews with our top Manchester City players.

We want to find out how they managed to enter the professional game, who inspired them when they were young and what they want to achieve before retirement.

Today it’s the turn of England midfielder Keira Walsh.

Keira goes back to her old primary school in Rochdale to discuss her first sporting influences, and we hear from one teacher who always knew she would go on to play at the highest level.

Walsh also talks about the importance of the initial discussions she had with Nick Cushing before joining City and praises his management style and willingness to trust her.

And she reveals her ultimate ambition in the game: winning the Champions League in City blue.
