Joao Cancelo said City’s fighting spirit again shone through as we claimed a 1-1 draw away at Atalanta in match day four of the Champions League.

Despite being reduced to 10-men on 81 minutes when substitute keeper Claudio Bravo sent off, City – with fellow sub Kyle Walker ably deputising in goal – secured another valuable point to remain top of Group C on 10 points with two games left.

And Cancelo said it was a night when City showed their togetherness.

“The team showed spirit and how united we are,” said the full-back.

“It was difficult moment when Kyle came on as we had replaced Ederson with Claudio but I think he did a good job and gave us another big point.

“It’s true the first half we controlled but in the second half we gave them chances. Overall it was a good game.”
