Speaking to the media ahead of Saturday’s lunchtime Premier League kick-off against Newcastle, the manager was asked to share his thoughts, following the Chairman’s comments that he hopes to enjoy a long working relationship with the Catalan boss.

Guardiola discussed his relationship with the Chairman both on and off the pitch, declaring he is ‘delighted’ to work alongside him and adding that both believe City can improve further.
“It was (encouraging) from the beginning,” he said. “Even from the bad moments in the first season.
“I am delighted to work for this Club and with our Chairman.
“We can talk about the Club; we can do better.
“He is a humble person and one of the most incredible ever.”
