City boss Pep Guardiola says first team coach Mikel Arteta is 'perfect management material'.

The former Arsenal and Everton midfielder has become Pep’ trusted lieutenant  over the past few seasons and when asked how much the Spaniard’s contribution has been to City’s success, Pep said:

“From day one, he has a special talent to analyse what happened and find solutions.

“We talk a lot about what he believes and feels. He knows Premier League, the players better than me at first. He played here 10 or 11 years.

“He helped me a lot and still helps me. He is happy when we win and he suffers when we don’t.

“That’s why he tries to find solutions. He will have incredible success.”

Asked if he could one day succeed Pep, the boss added: “I am pretty sure, yeah. If he decides to stay.

“But everyone decides what he will do in the future.

“He is a young manager with experience already. What’s going to happen is going to happen.”
