The Spanish midfielder is not your typical student, having combined a Business Studies and Economics degree at the Universidad de Castellon with a professional football career, but it is a juggling act he has enjoyed enormously.

Speaking from his home in Spain, Rodri told CityTV how his academic pursuits were motivated by a desire to invest in his future beyond football and how beneficial it has proven to be to his personal development.
He is currently using his time at home to focus on his studies, which are approaching their conclusion and, in a wide-ranging interview, also discusses his early life in Madrid, his family and his current lifestyle in Manchester.
