Pep Guardiola expects to know whether Sergio Aguero and Aymeric Laporte will be available against Borussia Dortmund in the next 24 hours.

Both players were short of full fitness for Saturday’s Premier League clash with Leeds, and thus missed out on selection.

The boss admitted that he was unsure if the pair would return in time for Wednesday’s Champions League showdown away to Dortmund, but revealed a verdict would likely be reached at some point on Monday.

He said: “I don’t know right now (if Aguero and Laporte will be fit).

“On Monday we will know it.”

It was a frustrating day at the office in Saturday’s clash with Leeds, with Stuart Dallas snatching all three points in stoppage time for the visitors.

Opposition midfielder Raphinha was highlighted for particular praise following the result and Guardiola agreed that, while City dominated, the Brazilian made a significant impact.
