Oleksandr Zinchenko is fit and ready to return for Manchester City against Fulham on Saturday.

The Ukrainian full-back missed all four of the Premier League leaders’ games in January and has not played since the Boxing Day victory over Leicester City.

However, the 25-year-old has trained this week and Pep Guardiola has confirmed he is available for our FA Cup fourth tie at the Etihad Stadium.

The City boss also revealed he intends to speak to Zinchenko to offer his support at what is a concerning time politically in Ukraine.

“Yes [he can play against Fulham],” Guardiola revealed at his pre-match press conference.

“We will [speak about Ukraine] for sure, but we haven’t yet because we have had just three or four days together and before that he had an injury and we were focused on that.

“The fact this kind of thing happens in the 21st century is depressing. It is difficult to accept it.

“I will speak to Oleks, he knows the situation much better than I do.”
