Relive one of Caroline Weir's iconic City moments in celebration of her birthday!

The Scot, who featured 214 times and grabbed 38 goals during four seasons at the Club, turns 29 today.

And one of the most iconic of those strikes came in the Manchester derby back in February 2022.

Lightning struck for a third time, as Weir proved the hero once more.

The midfielder planted an exquisite chip over Mary Earps one year and a day after doing so in the 2020/21 meeting, to snatch a vital three points.

Gareth Taylor‘s side produced a thoroughly dominant display, creating a hatful of chances, including a Jess Park strike that hit the post.

Just as the game looked to be heading for a stalemate, Weir - introduced from the bench - stepped forward and crafted yet another moment of magic against United to claim the win and the all important bragging rights!

Contested in front of a sell-out crowd at the Academy Stadium, it remains one of the most iconic Manchester derby moments to date.
