Manchester City’s charity, City in the Community (CITC), is looking for a new coach to join its Premier League Primary Stars team.

CITC’s Premier League Primary Stars (PLPS) programme is delivered at five to 11-year-olds across Greater Manchester, with the aim of upskilling teachers around delivering PE and school sport.

Sitting under the charity’s ‘Healthy People’ pillar, CITC PLPS coaches work with pupils to help enhance their physical and social development.

The programme also delivers educational workshops on topics such as anti-bullying and anti-racism throughout the year.

Coaches work closely with teachers to ensure they feel comfortable to deliver a subject they may not do otherwise.

Coaches are able to adapt their approach, the content and physical activity sessions in order to best meet the requirements of the school/group that they are working with.

Primary Schools Manager, Lucy Gaskell-Milward, said: “We’re really excited to be adding to our Premier League Primary Stars team. We’re looking for enthusiastic and driven coaches who have experience of working with five to 11-year-olds.

“If you’re passionate about having a positive impact on the primary schools in Manchester this could be your opportunity to join a great team here at CITC.”

You must have a Level Two Coaching Qualification to be eligible for this role.
