Established in 2018, City Matters gives supporters the chance to meet regularly with senior Club representatives to discuss a variety of issues and topics that are important to the wider fan base. These discussions can cover a range of subjects, from matchday experience to making football more inclusive for everyone.
City Matters is a panel of voluntary members, each elected by fans to represent a key demographic of the Club’s supporters. Currently, we are seeking applications for the following positions:
• Disabled Fan Representative
• Seasonal Hospitality Representative
• Cityzens Matchday Member Representative
City Matters is a forum for two-way conversation. Fans who participate in City Matters are encouraged to:
• Put forward their ideas and make recommendations on behalf of the fans they represent.
• Advise the Club on matters from the perspective of their fan group.
• Constructively challenge the Club.
City Matters Representatives must actively seek out the views of their respective fan group and share these with the Club.
What do we look for in representatives?
We are looking for dedicated fans who are comfortable engaging with the Club’s wider fan base to gather views and feedback, so that they can represent their respective fan group in meetings with the Club. Fan Representatives need to be willing and able to give significant time to their role and should be able to meet the role description on the included in the recruitment pack.

Disabled Fan Representative
To apply you will need to:
• Be a registered and active member of Manchester City’s Disabled Supporters Association (MCDSA)
• You must have a Membership at City, either a Cityzens Matchday Membership or Season Ticket Membership.
• Regularly attend matches at the Etihad Stadium.
The Disabled Supporters Association (DSA) was relaunched at Manchester City in 2023. The DSA exists to represent and support all disabled Manchester City fans, regardless of their disability or location. Click here to find out more about the Disabled Supporters Association.

Seasonal Hospitality Representative
To apply you will need to:
• Have a Hospitality Season Ticket for the 24/25 Season in any of our bars, suites or boxes
• Regularly attend matches at the Etihad Stadium
• Be engaged in the matchday experience for Hospitality customers.
Cityzens Matchday Member
To apply you will need to:
• Have an active Cityzens Matchday Membership
• Have attended five or more games in each of the last two seasons (2022/23 and 2023/24)
With the number of Cityzens Matchday Members growing every season, we are expanding City Matters to include a new representative focused entirely on meeting the needs and requirements of this large section of our fanbase fans.
The evolution of City Matters forms part of our commitment to continuously develop the network so it can continue to best represent our fans.
The Cityzens Matchday Member will be responsible for representing the needs of match going fans on topics including ticket access, ticket criteria, the matchday experience, member benefits and more.
How to apply
If you are interested in applying to join City Matters as the Cityzens Matchday Member representative, please complete an online application form. Your application should include a submission of no more than 400 words explaining why you would be the best representative for one of the above groups.

Important Dates
Supporters have until Sunday 4 August 2024 to apply.
After the application window closes, an internal panel together with the City Matters Chair, Alex Howell, will review all applications and publish a final shortlist of candidates. The shortlisted candidates’ information will be shared on City Matters’ dedicated page on our website on Monday 12 August 2024.
Fans with a supporter number will then have the chance to vote for their preferred candidates until Monday 26 August 2024.
The disabled fan representative will be voted for and elected by the DSA.
The candidate with the most votes will be elected as the new representatives and will join the group on Monday 2 September 2024.
