All Premier League fixtures between 6 and 12 February will be dedicated to showcasing the league’s collective support for LGBTQ+ inclusion.

The new initiative, called Premier League With Pride, has been launched to coincide with LGBTQ+ History Month, and will include special matchday takeovers at Sunday’s away match against Liverpool and our home match against Fulham on Wednesday 11 February.

This campaign provides all clubs with the opportunity to reflect on their year-round approach to equality and inclusion; with focuses on education, celebration and belonging, to ensure everyone feels welcome and valued in the football community.

Before the match on Wednesday, City Matters’ Chair and LGBTQ+ Representative, Lee Broadstock, will be presented with a bespoke graphic on behalf of Canal St Blues. The graphic, which proudly features Canal St Blues and iconic Manchester landmarks, has been commissioned by the Premier League and designed by LGBTQ+ artist Ashton Attzs.

In addition, fans can also hear from Lee in Wednesday’s matchday programme as he talks about his role, experiences as a fan and the importance of LGBTQ+ inclusion in football.

In line with other matchday takeovers, there will also be special Premier League With Pride assets as the players walk out of the tunnel.

Later in February, fans will be able to hear from a proud member of Manchester City Women’s LGBTQ+ community on a match day at the Joie Stadium.

City in the Community continues to show its support throughout the academic year through educational sessions on inclusion as well as a dedicated free programme, Inclucity +, that provides a safe space for 18–25-year-old LGBTQ+ fans and allies to play and connect through football.

As part of Manchester City’s commitment to creating a safe and welcoming matchday experience for all fans, we operate a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of discrimination, and this includes any form of homophobic behaviour.

If you see or hear such behaviour, fans are encouraged to talk to a steward or the police as soon as possible. Alternatively, fans can anonymously report discrimination by texting our matchday service on 0770 015 1894 at the match, or report it on the Kick It Out App.
