Tireni Aiyegbusi powered City ahead just minutes after the start before Derby forced an equaliser through Kieran Clarke.
Aiyegbusi restored our advantage ahead of half-time, with City picking up where we left off in the second 45 as Jahavn Woode made it three.
Darren Motsi added his name to the scoresheet with Freddie Lawrie heading in our final goal of the afternoon to secure another three points to extend a pitch perfect start to the season for the Blues’ youngsters.Â
WHAT HAPPENED
The rain was drizzling down at Moor Farm as City, who are unbeaten across all competitions so far, returned to Under-18 Premier League North action.Â
Just three minutes in City went ahead after Aiyegbusi fired home from close range.Â
Derby, however, found a way back on 21 minutes through Kieran Clarke who, after taking time to control the ball, curling home a fine effort into the top right corner.
The hosts continued to challenge with City ‘keeper Ben Vickery forcing to palm away a goal bound attempt from Max Nessling.Â

But as the half hour mark approached City were pushing back as Timeo Whisker fired wide of the mark with only the keeper to beat.Â
It wasn’t long before we restored our lead though as Aiyegbusi claimed a second goal to restore our advantage.
City didn’t stop there.
Theo Carrington had an effort saved while Aiyegbusi almost secured a hat-trick after his header just cleared the bar.
Coggins’ side continued to threaten and on 55 minutes Woode added our third of the afternoon with a strike from range which nestled in the bottom corner.Â

City were lighting up the pitch despite a gloomy sky above as Darren Motsi fired home number four after being teed up by Woode.
Rafa Stewart, Raez Plummer and Batista Indequi all made their Under-18s debuts in impressive fashion and Freddie Lawrie rounding a fine afternoon’s work as he headed home from Will Gueke’s superb cross.
