Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola made one change to his side for the clash with Everton in the first home match of the Premier League season.

Starting XI: Ederson, Walker, Sane, Kompany, Stones, Aguero, De Bruyne, D. Silva, Fernandinho, Otamendi, Jesus.

Subs: Bravo, Sterling, Mangala, Danilo, Bernardo, Toure, Foden

The boss made one change to the side that defeated Brighton 2-0 on the opening day of the campaign, with Leroy Sane coming into the side and Danilo on the bench.

New boy Ederson continues in goal, behind what looks like a back three of Vincent Kompany, John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi.

In his pre-match press conference Guardiola said he prefers to play Stones in the centre of that trio because of his distribution ability, with Kompany on the right and Otamendi on the left.

Sane (left) and Walker (right) will provide pace up and down the flanks in the wing back roles, with Fernandinho occupying a holding midfield slot.

David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne are set to assume more attacking, roaming midfield roles behind strike duo Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus.
