Injury and suspension news
West Ham have several players out with long term injuries. Diafra Sakho, Arthur Masuako, Gokhan Tore, Angelo Ogbonna and Alvaro Arbeloa are all likely to miss Wednesday’s clash while Andy Carroll and Mark Noble are slight doubts.
Ilkay Gundogan remains out for Pep Guardiola’s side but Fernandinho is available again after serving a four match suspension. Guardiola will confirm the rest of the team news in his Tuesday press conference, which will be covered fully on mancity.com.
The last time
Manchester City cruised into the FA Cup fourth round after an emphatic 5-0 win over West Ham on Friday 6 January.
The Blues were at their scintillating best in the opening period when three goals from Yaya Toure, David Silva and an own goal from Havard Nordtveit within a 10-minute spell, ripped the hosts apart.
Further strikes after half-time from Sergio Aguero and a late fifth from John Stones made it a Friday night to remember for the Blues’ jubilant followers.
Stats and facts
City are the first club to visit West Ham’s new London Stadium twice, having played there less than a month ago in the 5-0 FA Cup thrashing.
It will be West Ham’s first match since the sale of Dimitri Payet to Marseille but former Hull striker Robert Snodgrass could make his debut for the Hammers.
A win for City would take them on to 46 points and potentially into fourth place in the Premier League should Liverpool lose to Chelsea on Tuesday night.
West Ham are in decent form, having won their previous two matches, although they did lose the three before that.
City have faced West Ham on 104 previous occasions, with City winning 50 and the Hammers winning 37 times.
