Our Club captain celebrated the notable landmark last month, having joined City from Hamburg back in August 2008.
Since then the Belgian central defender has instrumental in the Club’s legacy of on-field, with Kompany helping City to secure three Premier League titles, three League Cups two Community Shields and an FA Cup triumph during that time.
Along the way, Kompany has chalked up 338 appearances for the Club, scoring 19 goals and he has also been named in the PFA’s Premier League team of the year on three occasions.

However, rather than select one particular trophy, the 32-year-old believes his biggest achievement in that decade is one that is far more profound and permanent.
“The biggest achievement is not winning one, two or three titles or that many cups,” said Kompany.
“I think the biggest achievement was to take it (the Club) from where it was and be a part of that journey to where it is today.
“You can win three or four titles if you play for the right club but that was never on the cards for City 10 years ago so that is the achievement.”
As he reflected on his incredible career at the Club, Kompany also tackled the question of whether he ever thought he would stay at the Club for 10 years when he first made the move to Manchester from Germany back in 2008.
“I hoped so,” the City skipper added.

“I was lucky as usually you sign for a club like City and then, at the time, if you do really well, you would have been looking to move on and play for a top club in Europe.
“I was lucky that the progress of the club tracked the progress that I made in my career.
“It made it so much more relevant for me to fight to become better and ultimately defend the colours of the Club that I came to love.”
