The Blues have plundered 24 goals in five games this month and will look to add to that tally against Burton Albion and Burnley in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup respectively before ending January with a trip to Newcastle United.

But how have those 102 goals in?
Here’s a breakdown of stats involving our players for the season so far…
Goals
As you’d expect, Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus lead the way at the top of the Club’s scoring charts, but our dynamic wingers are hot on their trail.
By Aguero’s own lofty standards, he has had something of a quiet period with just two goals since the end of November – but when you look closer, he has played just six games during that spell and missed seven games.
That’s allowed his strike partner Jesus to pull level, and it will be fascinating to see who ends up with more.
TOP SCORERS
14 Gabriel Jesus/Sergio Aguero
12 Raheem Sterling
11 Leroy Sane
9 Riyad Mahrez/David Silva
7 Bernardo
5 Own goals
4 Ilkay Gundogan
3 Kevin De Bruyne/Phil Foden/Aymeric Laporte
Assists
As our Sane & Sterling feature ‘Euro Assist Kings’ highlighted last week, Raheem and Leroy lead the way with assists.
But there have been contributions from many of the team this campaign, including Benjamin Mendy who has five from his nine appearances this season.
GOAL MAKERS
Leroy Sane - 13
Raheem Sterling - 11
Riyad Mahrez – 8
David Silva – 6
Sergio Aguero/Benjamin Mendy – 5
How the goals were scored...
There’s a nice balance in regards to how the goals have been shared out this season.
Here’s the right foot/left foot comparison, along with other ways of scoring (Leroy’s chested effort) …
Right foot – 44
Left foot – 41
Headers – 16
Chest – 1
Clean sheets
Ederson is currently trailing Liverpool’s Alisson Becker in the Premier League clean sheets race with three fewer than his national team rival.
Ederson has kept 10 clean sheets from his 23 Premier League games so far.
Aro Muric has played all four Carabao Cup games to date, keeping three clean sheets and Claudio Bravo kept one during his only game of the campaign – the 2-0 win over Chelsea in the FA Community Shield.
SHUT-OUTS
Ederson – 13
Aro Muric – 3
Claudio Bravo – 1
Miscellaneous stats
Not all stats can be pigeonholed under one category or another, so here’s a few that are of interest.
City have only had two penalties in the Premier League to date with Gabriel Jesus on target against Wolves last weekend our only successful spot-kick – Riyad Mahrez missed with his attempt against Liverpool earlier in the campaign.
The Blues have scored two free-kicks to date, with David Silva’s stunning effort against Huddersfield Town last August and Leroy Sane’s screamer coming against Hoffenheim.
In the Premier League alone, City have struck the woodwork on 12 occasions.
Let’s not forget the only Premier League goalkeeper assist was made by our brilliant Brazilian, Ederson...
