Formation and possible tactics
Pep Guardiola mentioned Dinamo’s tactic of five at the back versus Atalanta on matchday 1 and it will be interesting to see if the Croats go with a similar formation this evening.
The Blues rarely tinker with the 4-3-3 line-up that has worked so well and leave it to the opposition to try and tinker with their tactics and figure how to stop the high press and relentless attacks from the men in sky blue.
That said, as with Lyon last season, Dinamo arrive as something of an unknown quantity with their 4-0 win over Atalanta impossible to assess until after this encounter.
Will Dinamo attack or sit deep – or a combination of the two? We’ll know more around 10pm this evening.
Blues look to strengthen position
With back-to-back group stage games, City know that two victories will mean the Club has one foot in the knock-out stages.
Victory over Zagreb and Atalanta would give the Blues maximum points and a terrific base to play the remaining group matches.
