Manager Pep Guardiola makes eight changes from the side which beat Preston 3-0 in the Carabao Cup in midweek with Sterling one of three players to retain his place.
It’s the latest notable City career landmark for Sterling who has started the season in superb form and who last term was a crucial part of our Fourmidables team, as well as being voted PFA Young Player of the Year.
To date, Sterling has made 136 Premier League appearances for the Club, 37 in the Champions League, 13 in the FA Cup, 12 in the Carabao Cup and one in the Community Shield.

Formation and probable tactics
There’s changes aplenty for City at the back with keeper Ederson returning between the sticks, shielded by a back four of Kyle Walker, centre half pairing Nicolas Otamendi and skipper Fernandinho with Oleks Zinchenko restored at left-back.
With Fernandinho continuing in central defence, Rodrigo will pin the central midfield trio alongside Ilkay Gundogan and Kevin De Bruyne.
Up front, Sterling and Riyad Mahrez will play either side of Gabriel Jesus in what is expected to be a 4-3-3 formation.
Stats, facts and trivia
City can win four consecutive league matches against Everton for the first time since March 1972.
Manchester City’s tally of 24 goals in the opening six Premier League games is the most by any top-flight team at this stage since Wolves scored 25 in 1955.
Sergio Aguero could become just the fourth player to score in eight consecutive Premier League appearances.
The Argentina striker can also become the first player to score in eight straight top-flight fixtures for the club since 1957.
Victory in the game would see David Silva reach 200 Premier League wins faster than any other player, on his 289th appearance. John Terry holds the current record with 305 matches.
Pep Guardiola has won all seven competitive fixtures as a manager against Marco Silva, recording an aggregate score of 24-3.
