A loss on the night but a win overall...

After winning 0-4 in Basel, it was time for Manchester to host its first Champions League knockout game of the season.

City took the lead early with a goal from Gabriel Jesus but then two goals from FC Basel saw the visitors take a win back home to Switzerland.

Today’s loss however still sees City progress through to the quarter finals with the next round draw taking place on March 16.
