A hat-trick from Jodie Taylor secured the Three Lionesses’ second win of two in the competition, with a City trio of Karen Bardsley, Steph Houghton and Jill Scott all featuring for Mark Sampson’s side.
Left-back Demi Stokes, who completed the full 90 minutes on Wednesday, was rested and Toni Duggan did not feature.
Just as they did against Finland, England started brightly and they opened the scoring after just eight minutes.
Scott was involved, winning possession in the middle and bursting forward before finding Taylor, who fired home for her first international goal.
Just nine minutes later, she had her second, finishing well from the edge of the area to give the two-time winners a two-goal cushion at the break.
After the restart, Sampson’s side continued where they left off. Taylor and Houghton both saw good efforts saved before the striker grabbed her third of the afternoon with six minutes of normal time remaining, rounding the goalkeeper and slotting into the empty net.
It was a fine result for England which keeps their chances of reaching a fourth Cyprus Cup final on track - a draw against Holland on Monday will guarantee it.
Scotland were also in Cyprus Cup action today but fell to a last-gasp 3-2 loss to Italy. Defender Jennifer Beattie was an unused substitute for Anna Signeul’s side.
Meanwhile, Sarah Wiltshire’s Wales were held to a goalless draw by Bosnia in the Istria Cup, and Natasha Flint scored for England u19s in Thursday’s 3-1 win over Italy in La Manga.
The youngster lasted for 80 minutes for the young Lionesses, while Georgia Brougham completed 56 and Keira Walsh played the full 90.
Nikita Parris and the England u23s saw their adventure in La Manga end in defeat on Monday with a 2-1 defeat to the USA.
