The 18-year-old lifelong City fan has put pen to paper on a three-year deal, committing her immediate future to the Club until the summer of 2022.
Despite her youth, the defender has clocked up 20 appearances for Nick Cushing’s side, playing a part in last season’s cup double-winning success, and hopes to continue her rapid development with further success at the Academy Stadium.

“It feels amazing,” she told CityTV. “I can’t really describe it – it doesn’t seem real!
“It’s such a dream for me, as a City fan. I’ve been supporting them since I was small so now, to have a future at the Club in writing is an amazing feeling.
“I had so many shirts as a fan so to wear one as a player and have fans cheering for me is incredible.
“For me, it’s about the opportunity. The facilities here are incredible, the teammates I get to play with on a day-to-day basis are world-class - there are so many playing for the World Cup now – and the staff are so supportive and knowledgeable.
“From the ground up, it’s an amazing Club with a great structure – a Club with a high ambition to always progress and be the best we can.”
Morgan joined City at Under-15s level and progressed through the ranks, helping the Academy to a league and cup double.
Aged just 16, her displays earned a promotion to Cushing’s first team in August 2017, as she was selected for the pre-season trip to France for the Toulouse International Ladies Cup, facing some of the world’s very best players as City locked horns with Lyon and Montpellier.
Since then she has become a regular name in the senior squad, gaining match vital experience and training alongside City’s international stars.
“It’s been crazy!” she smiled. “If I look back to three years ago, I’d only just finished playing grassroots football.
“Since then, I’ve moved into the Regional Talent Club, came through the Development Squad and into the first team. It’s been so rapid and it’s hard to comprehend how quickly everything has changed.
“I feel I’ve come on a lot. When I trialled, I was a midfielder so it’s a lot different now! I’ve moved back and gained a lot of versatility, playing left-back, right-back and centre-back.
“I’ve developed my overall understanding tactically but technically, I’m so much better as well because in training, we focus on consistency.
“Nick said he has a lot of confidence in me and that I have a big future at the Club. He said it’s important for me to start getting experience, taking on more responsibility as a player. I need to push on to be a regular starter.
“Everyone has been so supportive in my development. They’ve made it so easy for me to settle in and be in the right environment.
Although she prefers not to set herself personal targets, she is determined to play a bigger role in helping City to win more silverware in the years to come.
“Being the team we are, we aspire to win every trophy so we have to have that goal, going into the start of the season,” she added.
“Doing that and starting to dominate English football will be the target for us.”
